I've been watching GTO prices for the last 4 years, and there has been absolutely no change. $10-15k then, $10-15k now, just with more mileage. Damnit.

Ugh, tell me about it. At least C5s and F-bodies are getting cheaper.

I think it being a decent LS, manual and RWD would have something to do with it. The interior is dated but the driveline is robust and it is a good platform to modify on. Plus supply and demand, there are a decent amount of GTOs out there but other people are looking at them to. There is a reason the G8 GXP still has its value around 30k+

Welcome to the world of classic GM LSX Muscle cars. The prices might fall as the fifth gen camaro population increases in the used market...nah, just kidding. The fifth gens will also annoyingly hover around an slightly-out-of-reach price point. That will in turn keep the GTOs from ever falling far enough in price to be reachable, MUAHAHAHAHA

The funny thing is, if it was $15g for a nice one, I’d probably forget about it. The fact that they’re still going for so much money makes the want EVEN MORE. I would think the prices would be far off from the CTS-Vs...but they are pretty damn close.

So we go from $12k for an ‘02 with 250k km on it, to $90k for an ‘05 with 38k km on it.

Probably because once the owners get one, they keep it.

EVEN IF THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOTALS IT

*Sniff* I have all the parts for my car and It should be done in January sometime...

I bought mine for $13k with under 50K miles. M6, LS1, bright fucking yellow. They’re a hell of a ride but if I was to replace one, I’d get a Chevy SS. The parts are hard to find/hella expensive. $1300 for bumper cover, $2100 for a fender...basically don’t throw your scrapped GTO away because it’s worth more as parts.
